Vocal sound artist Kadi Vija and pianist Nikita Rafaelov bring to the stage an intimate and curious work about family, love, and seeing the world differently.
Tiny Hands Gathering Wonder, The World Becomes Magic tells the story of Teppo, a child born into a rainbow family – not a fiction of childhood, but poetry of everyday life, where the world takes shape from a slightly different angle. The album is produced by Helsinki-based drummer/producer Teppo Mäkynen, and released by Tampere-based Mustik Motel Music.
Musically, the piece moves between experimental electronic art and the delicate sensibility of indie music. The soundscape is layered and atmospheric – like a child’s thought: a little askew, yet perfectly in place. On stage, Kadi and Nikita create a sonic space where the listener is invited to listen, to wonder, and to simply be at peace with themselves.
